Last weekend the group excelled itself with a coffee morning performance in Hawick and a concert at Boston Hall, Ettrick where everyone did great - none more so than the junior lot who definitely were the stars. We particularly liked the 16 or 17 encores - no-one left so we just kept playing.

Well done everyone on a great year with an amazing number of performances in a variety of venues.
Everyone has been so busy in November, that we haven't even updated the website. So far this month there has been a performance at Selkirk Fiddle & Accordion club

which was very well received. Bands participating included our juniors, Bedlam Ceilidh Band as well as the massed Riddell Fiddles and we received a warm welcome.
Our ceilidh on the 12th November raised over £400 towards our planned trips in 2012/13. It was a great evening with a large contingent from Chisholme House (thanks Irene!) who flung themselves into the dancing enthusiastically.
Ancrum concert a great success with a packed crowd turning out and excellent performances from all. A big thanks to Iain Fraser for supporting us.
Well done to Back Row Band & friends as well as Kim & Stuart for playing a part in the music at Brian & Lesley's wedding. The tunes and dancing went down a treat. A great night!

The Georgian Fair at the Haining was a bit of a monsoon affair but well done to everyone who attended - the playing sounded great - and the costumes added a touch of style to a rather 'drookit' day. The group were well received.

The James Paterson memorial day on Sunday 10th April was a success and very well attended. Everyone remembered a great friend and musician. £1700 was raised from donations and raffle tickets. Some members of Riddell Fiddles performed at the event, as did our business sponsor Ron Hastings, and both were well received. On the strength of the fiddlers' performance they have been asked to appear as guest artists at Kelso Fiddle & Accordion Club on the 14th of December.
